Download YouTube Videos on Android

Most Android phones can download MP4 in Chrome; some qualities open a video preview instead — see below. If you opened VidPS inside WeChat or QQ, switch to your system browser first.

  1. Copy the YouTube video link

Open the video in the YouTube app or a browser, tap Share and copy the link, or copy the full URL from the address bar.

  2. Open VidPS in Chrome

Visit the VidPS YouTube downloader in Chrome. If you came from WeChat or QQ, choose “Open in browser” from the menu so downloads are not blocked.

  3. Paste, parse, and download

Paste the link into the input box. A full URL pasted starts parsing automatically; if nothing happens, tap Parse. Pick MP4 and tap Download — this usually goes to the system download manager. Some formats open a preview tab instead; long-press or use the menu to download or save. MP3 needs server conversion, so wait a bit longer before the download starts.

  4. Check the download manager

Watch progress in the notification shade. When finished, open the file from Downloads or your file manager. In Chrome: Menu → Downloads.

Tips

  • UC Browser and 360 Browser often work too, but Chrome is the most reliable.
  • MP4 via VidPS servers shows progress in notifications; CDN preview links skip the download manager — save manually.
  • MP3 conversion is slower than MP4; when the status says “Converting”, wait and avoid tapping Download repeatedly.
  • Only save public videos you are allowed to keep and follow YouTube’s Terms of Service.

Ready to parse and download?

Open the YouTube downloader — paste a full link to auto-parse, or tap Parse after typing.
